Secret Styled Proposal

I have an extra special post for you this Valentine’s Day! A little white back a good friend of mine, Jimmer told me he was going to propose to his girlfriend, Caitlin.  I was so excited. Then he asked for my help which made me delighted! I  often style engagement shoots, but never a proposal. It was amazing to be part of. Bare Root Flora provided the gorgeous flowers.  We even had the talented Laura Murray secretly photograph it!  Then he gave her an album of the photos for Christmas. The proposal is being featured today on Bridal Musings. Click HERE to see the feature!!

Mary & Tom’s Sweet Garden Wedding

This is one of most favorite weddings I was ever a part of. Mary and Tom were quite possibly the sweetest couple I’ve ever worked with. I loved styling and coordinating this lovely day for them. I could not be happier how it turned out! I love the outdoor string lights,   vintage china, and gorgeous flowers. Oh and Mary’s dress- Claire Pettibone of course!)

Also be sure to check out the their wedding being featured on Mountainside Bride, with tons of advice from the bride herself.

Style Me Pretty Boudoir Feature

We are so excited to share that Style Me Pretty is featuring a boudoir shoot we designed today. I have been wanted to style an outdoor boudoir shoot for awhile. My vision for this shoot was for it to be romantic, soft, and  ethereal. All of the details came together and exceeded my vision. Click HERE to see the feature.

Here is a few more of my favorite photos:

To create the look I found an awesome vintage bed in Castle Rock (which is now available for rent!) and some lovely white ruffly bedding. Bare Root Flora made a lovely floral headpiece. The gorgeous make up is by Kelsey Zabawa Makeup. The dreamy images are by Laura Murray Photography. And we could not forget the talented model Brytny who knows just what to do when in front of a camera.

We loved styling boudoir and would love to do it again. Contact us for more information.

Ruffled Feature!

I am beyond excited to share this recent shoot with you. It is one of my favorite ever! The European inspired design turned out so romantic and timeliness! The shoot is being featured on Ruffled. Please click here to see it and read the story behind it.

It is all in the details…oh the details! Thank you Laura Murray Photography for the amazing photos!

A Claire Pettibone dress that is to die for from Little White Dress paired with a champagne colored veil:

The back of the dress is just gorgeous too:

We specially picked a  lovely vintage cameo ring to compliment the oval shapes on the back of the dress:

and I love the other accessories provided by Little White Dress as well as the guy’s accessories, a classic Burberry watch and this awesome bow tie:

Complimenting the calligraphy stationary is the amazing painted cake with love poems on it by Three Little Blackbirds (who cakes taste as good as they look  I must add!)

The cake backdrop made out of vintage book pages and antique vanity trays (made by yours truly)

Crystal and brass candlesticks…which sparked a new obsession of mine:

The gorgesous flowers from Pink Posey Design

Gold flatware (thanks Brenda!):

Matching Gold Chairs

And of course a venue that is just filled with history and roses everywhere

To contrast all the femininity, we wanted to add something in for the guys; and what guy does not like whiskey:

and we couldn’t forget our gorgeous models- Diandra Reed and Cameron Wilson (hair by  Alex Sternberg and make up by Kelsey Zabawa Makeup Artistry):

This shoot was a delight to design and coordinate. It would not have been possible without the lovely and talented vendors:

Couture Colorado Feature

Typically I do vintage photo shoots. But when Natosha Cooke Makeup Artistry approached me about doing a more modern shoot I was up for the challenge. The goal was to “marry” vintage and modern and I believe we did! The shoot is being featured on Couture Colorado today! Make sure you click HERE to see it.

My favorite detail was the champagne bar! What is yours?

Vintage Engagement Photo Shoot

I love styling engagement shoots. I love taking some of the couple’s interests and bringing it to life. Also, props are also great not just because can make the shoot prettier, but they give the couple something to “do”. If you are like most couples, you are not used to being photographed for long periods of time. Thus, a few props can help the couple relax and take better pictures.
Here is some of my past shoots:
This couple wanted to do something outside- very “Colorado”. We did this one in the foothills.
This fun one was “brunch themed”. He is a chef and she is a nutritionist. The fun retro theme totally fit the personalities.

This couple was sooo sweet. She loves sunflowers, but their wedding is very formal and doesn’t fit. Thus, we made sure to use a ton of them at their engagement session. Also, he really wanted to do something near water- so a dock was the perfect setting.

This couple wanted something romantic- what could be more perfect that a picnic in a vineyard. They also brought their adorable son to be in some of the pictures.
Oh and here is my own- A romantic table for two theme and a picnic theme. A shout out to my mom for making the quilt and Greg’s mom for making the matching banner:

Couture Colorado Feature

Awhile ago I had an idea for a styled shoot. Something in the mountains, natural colors, lots of details- very Colorado if you will. I loved pulling it all together. I also loved when Couture Colorado decided to feature it yesterday! Please click HERE to see it.

A big thanks to all the lovely vendors who helped make this shoot possible:
